Flood disaster assessment by Actionaid Nigeria revealed that 15 people died, 30 injured while 5,200 were displaced by the flood that ravaged Kebbi State within the last two months.
The country Director of Actionaid Nigeria, Eni Obi, made this known on Friday while addressing Journalists in Birnin Kebbi saying, initial assessment conducted by Actionaid Nigeria, indicated that 11, 356 people were affected by the disaster.
Obi, who attributed the cause of the flood to heavy rainfall as well as release of water from Bakolari and Goronyo dams in Zamfara and Sokoto states, also said farmlands of various crops across the state were destroyed by the flood.
Some 11,356 people were affected.
