145 Marte soldiers face military police screening

Military police from the Army Headquarters, Abuja, led by a major have arrived in Maiduguri, Borno State to screen soldiers and officers of the 153 Infantry Battalion, Marte who were ambushed by insurgents twice this year.

The authorities of the 7 Division, Maiduguri, were said to have returned the identity cards and uniforms of the soldiers, earlier retrieved.

A source said a team of military police from Abuja arrived in Maiduguri on Saturday where they began the interview of the officers.

The exercise continued on Monday and Tuesday in different locations where soldiers were also made to write statements.
