A 14-year-old boy has been found dead on Monday afternoon after drowning in a pond at Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano.
Kano State Fire Service service confirm the death in a statement issued by the spokesman of the command, Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi.

“We received a distress call at about 3.27 pm from one Muhammad Adamu and we dispatched our rescue team to the scene at about 3:32 pm”

The statement added that the young boy was taken to the Muhammadu Sunusi General Hospital for medical attention where the doctor on duty later confirmed him dead.
Abdullahi further said that the corpse has been handed over to ASP Abdul’aziz Sani of Dakata Police Division for further investigation on the cause of the incident.
