The Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) in Bauchi State has confirmed that 14 people have been killed while five others sustained various degrees of injuries in a road crash.
The fatal crash occurred at Zangoro Village, along Bauchi-Darazo Road in Darazo Local Government Area of the state.
FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Yusuf Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident, said the crash occurred on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 12.17pm, involving two vehicles – a commercial vehicle and a private car.
He added that a yellow Golf 3 Wagon with registration number AJ-507 GWA and an Ash Chevrolet with registration number 15B-07BA belonging to the Bauchi State Government was also involved in the crash.

Abdullahi explained, “The victims were rushed to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital Bauchi (ATBU-TH) for confirmation and medical treatment. Unfortunately, 14 of them were certified dead by a medical doctor upon arrival.”
