Men of the Jigawa State Police Command have arrested 14 suspected rustlers, fraudsters, thieves and a suspect of culpable homicide.
The command’s spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, who disclosed this on January 12, 2024, said the police recovered 19 cows, 14 sheep, five goats, a Dane gun, charms, a knife, among others.
He explained that on January 1, 2024, a team of policemen attached to Guri Police Station, while on routine patrol, arrested Abba Mohammed (30) and Adamu Lamido Bille (29), all of Garbagal village in possession of a goat suspected to be stolen.
He further said that on January 3, one Aminu Mustafa (38) of Unguwar Dodo Quarters in Maigatari LGA, a Point of Sale (POS) vendor, reported that on the same date a person came to his POS shop to withdraw money and that he fraudulently used it and transferred the sum of N900,000 into his account.

He said policemen on patrol were alerted, and that fortunately, one Abdulmuminu Tasi’u (17) of Adakawa Quarters, Dala LGA, was arrested.
