Some 136 people died in 225 road accidents involving 319 vehicles in Osun State between January and December 2020, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Osun has said.
The Sector Commander of FRSC in Osun, Kudirat Ibrahim, revealed this in Osogbo while addressing commercial drivers and motorcycle riders.

Ibrahim said 2,724 people were involved in road accidents recorded by FRSC and that 1,362 people were injured while 1,226 people were rescued from accident scenes.
She expressed worry over reckless driving by drivers and overspeeding by commercial motorcycle riders
Ibrahim appealed to vehicle owners to install speed limit device on their vehicles and warned that FRSC would go tough on road traffic offenders in the state to prevent avoidable loss of lives.
