The Nigeria Diaspora Forum (NDF), has announced the official opening of its first home office in Nigeria, recognizing the necessity of providing support to over 20 million Nigerians living in the Diaspora.
This is as the forum appointed Hon. Chike Amadichi as its Country Director in Nigeria.
In a statement, the Board Chairman of NDF in the United States of America, Dr. Joachin Okafor, said the newly established home office is situated at the Kano House Complex, Plot 72 Ralph Shodeinde Street, Central Business District, Abuja.
According to the statement, the NDF intends to centralize its activities by collaborating with foreign embassies, high commissions, and ambassadors to advocate for the rights and welfare of Nigerians in the Diaspora.
“This approach will also involve cooperation with Nigerian embassies abroad to ensure an effective and proactive response to the challenges faced by Nigerians living outside Nigeria.
“The NDF operates as a non-governmental organization founded by Nigerians in the Diaspora.
“Its primary mission is to explore opportunities that enhance the living conditions of Nigerians abroad and harness the vast resources within the Diaspora for the development of Nigeria,” the statement added.
