13 new players join Enugu Rangers ahead of 2021/22 NPFL season

Ahead of the expected start of the 2021/2022 football season, the management of the seven-time Nigeria league champions, Rangers International have secured the playing services of 13 new players as of the time of reporting.

In a statement from the club’s media officer, Norbert Okolie, the club have successfully secured the services of former Sunshine Stars F.C’ left-back, Oluwaseun Olulayo and former national U-17 invitee shot-stopper, Okoh Chizoba.

It will be recalled that Rangers has over the last few days got the services of Ossy Martins, Bamidele Adeniyi, Eboko Ikechukwu, Julius Ikechukwu, Samuel Pam, Philip Clement, Bala Akintunde, Obiorah Emeka, Olawale Doyeni, Ejike Uzoenyi, David Chimezie, and others to team up with the retained players of the club to challenge for honours in the coming season.

The deals for both players were concluded, Friday, October 29, 2021, after contractual and personal terms were agreed upon by the players, intermediaries, and club management.

Olulayo said “It is good getting to move my God-given talent to a new home in Enugu where I hope to give my all towards helping the team realize its dreams for the coming season.”

Okoh, who was in the 2019 national U-17 camp as a 16-year-old got his first professional contract with the Enugu landlords from River-Lane Youth Academy, Enugu, and has his eyes set to do a very good understudy of the vastly experienced goalkeepers in the team.
