The Nasarawa State Police Command says it has arrested 13 suspected kidnappers and other criminals terrorising parts of the state.
Daily Trust learnt that some of the suspects are those that abducted some students of the Federal University of Lafia at Gandu in Mararaba area of the state a couple of weeks ago.
Mr Shehu Umar Nadada, the Commissioner of Police, while parading the suspects at the command’s headquarters on Thursday in Lafia, explained that all the suspects were arrested at their various hideouts.

He said, “Those arrested are thirteen suspected kidnappers, eleven suspected armed robbers, one suspected cattle rustler and five suspected rapists, including two suspected impostors.”
He said a rescue operation at Rukubi by the command’s anti-kidnapping unit early last month led to the arrest of one of the kidnap kingpins at Kadarko, Keana LGA of the state.
