No fewer than 13 people have sustained injuries in separate accidents along the Abuja-Lokoja Highway.
The Abaji unit commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), ACC Umar Shehu Dogondaji, who confirmed the accidents to our reporter on Saturday, said the first happened last Thursday, involving an 18-seater Toyota Hiace bus with registration number AKD 149 KS.

He said the bus, which was on speed, had a tyre burst, and the driver lost control and crashed into a ditch, leaving five passengers wounded.
He said the second accident happened on Saturday, around 4 am and involved a Peugeot J5 with registration number MGU 421 XA. He said the J5 bus was on speed and suddenly rammed into a trailer parked by the roadside in Abaji town.
He also said six people were also injured in another accident at Abaji bridge after a trailer hit a Volkswagen Golf car, with registration number LKJ237 LY, from behind.
He said the accident happened at around 10:55 am on Saturday, adding that all those injured were receiving treatment at Abaji General Hospital.
He attributed the accident to the loss of control by the trailer.
