A JSS II student of Oloje Community Secondary School, Ilorin, Kwara State, simply identified as Firdaos was at the weekend electrocuted when she tried to remove a wire from her hijab while fetching water in Ogidi area of Ilorin West LGA.

According to a witness, Mr Amosa, “Late Firdaos (12) went to fetch water from a borehole at Iyana Lawal community and was returning when her hijab caught a wire dangling from the fence of a house.

“But in her attempt to remove it, her hand touched the naked area and she was electrocuted.”

When contacted, the police spokesman in the state, Ajayi Okasanmi, said the matter was not reported.
