Some people said yesterday that the clash was a reprisal attack carried out by one of the gang over the alleged killing of their members over the weekend.
It was learnt that urchins also seized the opportunity to loot shops and stores along Ladipo road, Mushin.
Meanwhile, anti-riot policemen and regular police personnel from the state and Area Commands have been deployed to the area.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, however, said that no casualty was recorded during the fight among the gangsters at Mushin.
Adejobi said 12 members of the different gangs had been arrested while normalcy had been restored to the area.
“The State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has deployed more police operatives to the area to beef up the security of the area. We will continue to monitor the area,” he also said.
