The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, has tasked traditional rulers, faith and community leaders to ensure that their family members and communities are vaccinated in the ongoing second phase of the COVID-19 vaccination.

Ehanire said as of the morning of 20th April, 1,110,820 Nigerians, representing 55.2% of the eligible persons targeted in the current phase, have received their first dose of the Oxford/Astrazeneca vaccine.

He disclosed this at the North Central Zonal Town hall meeting on COVID-19 vaccination held at the Aliyu Akwe Banquet Hall in Lafia on Tuesday.
