11 prison inmates secure university admission in Ogun

At least 11 inmates of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) at the Ibara Custodial Centre, Abeokuta, Ogun State, have been offered admission into the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) and were matriculated on Tuesday.

The spokesman of the Ogun Command of NCoS, Victor Oyeleke, in a statement, said the inmates were admitted to study business administration, political science, criminology, security studies, peace and conflict resolution and public administration.

The Vice-Chancellor (VC) of NOUN, Prof Olufemi Peters, represented by Dr Segun Adenuga, the Director of Abeokuta Study Centre, took the enrollees through the orientation programme.
