11 Lagos-bound traders die in Kebbi road accident

Eleven Lagos-bound traders from Isah and Bungudu local government areas of Sokoto State have died in a road accident along Koko Road in Kebbi State.

The traders numbering 115 were said to be taking their maize and onions to Lagos when the driver of the trailer they were traveling in lost control and crashed at Dadah village in Koko-Besse Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

Witnesses said eleven of the traders died on the spot while those injured are being treated at Koko General Hospital in Kebbi.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Abubakar, said he was yet to be briefed on the incident.
