The Katsina State Government owned Community Skills Development Centre (COSDEC) in Daura, has begun an eight-week entrepreneurship training for 107 youths.
Malam Abdullahi Ingawa, the centre’s manager, made this disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Daura.
He said that the participants had acquired one year training on vocational skills including building and fabrications, carpentry and joinery, office management, welding and fabrications.
Ingawa said the entrepreneurship training was aimed at exposing them to the technical know-how of establishing their independent businesses as well as how to manage them.
According to the manager, the training is being conducted in collaboration with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).
NAN reports that another set of 400 youths are undergoing training on Plaster of Paris (POP) making and poultry production introduced by the late Sen. Mustafah Bukar across the 12 Local Government Areas of Daura North Senatorial District.
