No fewer than 10,000 Abians will benefit from a week-long free medical treatment, to be offered by some Abia health professionals based abroad, towards Christmas, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu said yesterday.
Ikpeazu who spoke when he flagged off a medical mission at the Umuahia North LGA headquarters, specified that about 300 of the beneficiaries would receive free general and eye surgeries.
He thanked the Abia professionals, the Abia State National Association of North America, for collaborating with his government to ensure that government policy was sustained.
