1000 youths get scholarship on digital skills

The Dare Adeboye Foundation in partnership with The Incubator Nigeria, has successfully concluded the first edition of the Future Clan Bootcamp, a seven-day intensive tech training programme for over 1000 youths from across Nigeria.

The initiative aims to equip young individuals with skills in Content and Copywriting, Data Analysis, Cybersecurity, Product Design, AWS Cloud Computing, and Web Development, empowering them to become ambassadors of positive change in their communities.

The Continental Overseer of RCCG Continent 3, Pastor J. F. Odesola, urged the graduates to embrace their roles as pioneers of digital transformation. “Embrace your roles as pioneers of digital transformation…use your skills to innovate, solve real problems, and create a better future for all,” he said.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Programmes Manager for Dare Adeboye Foundation, Wale Olatujoye, highlighted the need to leverage technology as a levelling ground to bridge the developmental gap in Nigeria.

He emphasised the role played by technology in the development of countries like USA, UK, China, Japan, and South Korea as well as the strides a Nation like India is making with technology.

Olatujoye further stated that the Foundation is passionate about empowering the Youths for national development and partnering with The Incubator Nigeria to execute the biggest tech skills training project in Africa is a milestone in the Foundation’s journey.

“We are excited about the partnership with Incubator Nigeria because of their track records and commitment to Youth empowerment through digital skills training in Africa,” he said.

Earlier in the event, the Executive Director of Africa Missions Global, Mrs Eyono Fatayi-Williams announced the partnership between Africa Missions Global and The Incubator Nigeria. This collaboration, she said, aims to impact ten million people by 2033.

She challenged the graduates to use their skills to close gaps in Africa, stating, “Look for the gaps in Africa and use your skills and creativity to close those gaps…you have what it takes to do it.”

The Future Clan Bootcamp marked a significant milestone in empowering young individuals to drive digital transformation in Nigeria and Africa. With the support of partners and stakeholders, The Incubator Nigeria is poised to shape the future of tech in the region.

The 1,000 beneficiaries got scholarships worth almost half a billion Naira.
