The exercise, which was held at the Bichi Emirate, was carried out in the various communities of the emirate on ways of preventing diabetes, hypertension and other diseases.

The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Lucky Irabor, stated at the closing ceremony of the exercise, that hypertension and diabetes have become common diseases among adults in Nigeria, hence the need for the intervention.

According to him, the Defence Headquarters deployed medical personnel to facilitate the smooth conduct of the free medical treatment to the people in the area.
