Speaking at one of the presentations, the Chairman of the foundation, Alhaja Halimat Zulu Gambari said the foundation is aimed at catering for the orphaned, widows, less privileged and vulnerable children.

She said the foundation discovered that many of the indigent students were doing well academically but lacked the necessary resources.

She added: “We sent down our staff down to the school themselves who identified the beneficiaries. Now we have given uniforms, but we hope to take it further with payment of their school fees and other education requirements.’’

She advised the students to be hardworking and take their education seriously and promised that the foundation will always advocate and provide a better environment for their academic progress.

In his remarks, the principal of United Junior Secondary School, Babatunde Sulyman Dagbo thanked the foundation for their generosity and advised the students to be hardworking and maintain the uniforms.

One of the beneficiaries, Yesira Ayomide Abdulqodir, a JSS 2 student thanked the foundation for the gesture and called on others to emulate them to ameliorate the plight of the less privileged in schools.

On his part, Ibrahim Muhammed, a JSS 3 student solicited further assistance on writing materials and school fees among others.
