100 college students suspended in Bauchi

The principal of the school Malam Magaji Idris Bello told newsmen that the students were suspended because they left the school for election despite the fact that the elections dates were shifted and the Federal Government ruled against any holiday during elections, adding that their actions have violated the school’s rules and regulations.
Bello said that leaving the school without permission was a punishable offence, adding that the school management has suspended the students that sneaked out without consent in order to serve as an example to others.
The principal advised the students to be guided by the rules and regulations as the management will not leave any stone unturned in the discharge of its duty.
He also cautioned parents and guardians to desist from sending funds to their children in the school as government has provided for all the students’ needs.
Some of the affected students interviewed expressed regret for their mistakes, promising to be law abiding.
They pleaded with the school management to pardon them as they will not repeat such act again.
