No fewer than 100 boys and girls between the age of four and above would participate in the maiden Desert Storm Basketball Academy Summer Holiday Clinic in Anambra.
Coach Daniel Achuke, Founder and Lead Coach, Desert Storm Basketball Academy, stated this at a news conference in Awka on Tuesday.
He said that the programme aimed to renew the awareness of the game among children in the state.
Achuke, a former Anambra basketball player said the clinic slated to begin on July 31 to Aug. 31, would hold on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka.

He said the sessions would feature basic rudiments of basketball including shooting, passing, dribbles, defence, pick and roll among others.
He said, Desert Storm Basketball Academy was established to build up kids to become professional basketball players, through well thought out and regimented training programmes.
He called on parents and schools to take advantage of the opportunity to improve the fitness of their children and hone their sporting skills.
“We aim to bring out their best and unique mental and physical attributes as well as harnessing their raw talents.
“Our coaching crew is dedicated, experienced, versed in the knowledge of all aspects of the game of basketball, and totally backed by an experienced and focused management team, “ he said.(NAN
