No fewer than 100 army officers will sit for promotion examination starting on Monday (today) in Kwara State.
The officers are seeking promotion from lieutenant to captain from army formations across the country.

Speaking with Daily Trust during the commencement of the programme at the Sobi Cantonment, Lt Col Ademola Adegoke, said the “100 army officers involved in the exercise are drawn from all the army formations across the country”.
He noted that the examination would include a training aimed at evaluating and improving competence of the officers.
He said it would hold between February 14 and 18 at the 22 Armoured Brigade, Sobi Cantonment, Ilorin, Kwara State.
He added that, “Accordingly, the general public in Ilorin and its environs is enjoined not to panic on sighting large body of troops within the area throughout the period of examination.”
