No fewer than 10 teams have registered to participate in this year’s Nasarawa state Football Association AITEO Cup.
Chairman of the competition, who is also the State Deputy Chairman of the state Football Association Haladu Akwashiki, made this known yesterday in Lafia after the draws for the competition at the secretariat of Nasarawa state FA.
Akwashiki said Nasarawa United and Aklosendi FC will be on standby to commence their campaign at the semi-final stage of the competition.
He explained that the eight other teams drawn from the state league will commence their campaign from Monday, adding that the timetable given by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is expected to come to an end on May 27, 2018.
The 10 participating teams are Nasarawa United, Aklosendi FC, Aklosendi feeders, Police Machine FC and FC Basira. Others include Yamusa Boys FC, Water Corporation FC, Akwanga Selected FC, AYD Doma FC and 11 Brothers FC.
