Four persons have been abducted by men suspected to be herdsmen in Ayetoro-Ekiti in Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

He added that the herdsmen came through the route where a traditional ruler, the Elewu of Ewu-Ekiti, Oba Adetutu Ajayi, was shot in April this year.
The source further explained that the herdsmen numbering about 30 and fully armed shot at a staff of the hotel simply identified as Idowu and kidnapped three persons.
The source added that Idowu’s brother, Sunday, who is a guard at the hotel, received machete cuts on his head and was in a critical condition in the hospital.
The police spokesman in the state, Sunday Abutu, said he was not aware of the incident.
However, the Commander of Amotekun in the state, Brig Joe Komolafe (Rtd), said he could not confirm if it was herdsmen that carried out the invasion.
He explained that a distress call came in and that he deployed his men to the place, but that the bandits had left the scene.
He said the security guard at the hotel received cutlass wounds, while a lady was raped, but that he could not confirm if anyone was abducted.
