1 missing, 8 injured after Ebonyi communal clash

One person has been declared missing while eight others sustained various degrees of machete cuts following a fresh communal crisis that erupted between Ezeke-Amasiri and Amaba-Akpoha people in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The council boss, Barr. Oby Oko Enyim, made this known during a stakeholders meeting aimed at arresting the incident, urging security operatives in the area to fish out the perpetrators.

Daily Trust gathered that the cause of the crisis was contention over land ownership among the indigenes of the two neighbouring communities.
