Gunmen on Monday invaded Sobe community in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State and killed one person, Ome Osesa, and abducted an unspecified number of others.
It was gathered that the gunmen, suspected to be herders, invaded the late Osesa’s house in the evening and opened fire on him and that after killing him, the gunmen moved to a house close to St Thomas Moore Primary School in the community where they kidnapped some persons.
“Last month, three persons including a pastor were killed in their farm by the gunmen”.
When contacted, the Edo State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, said the command was not aware of the attack.
