Suspected cultists have killed a beer parlour owner in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The victim was identified as Mr Tajudeen by the residents.

The incident, it was learnt, occurred on Tuesday at Sawmill area around 10pm.

According to sources, the cultists invaded the victim’s cool spot and dragged him out before shooting him at close range.

His body was said to have been dumped at Gari Alimi.

“Tajudeen operates a cool spot opposite the IGS gate before Gari Alimi and also engages in clearing of cars from the Benin Republic.

“Some of his friends were having a birthday celebration at his cool spot when they came. They first smashed a bottle on his head before he was shot at close range,” Mr Abdulmalik, a resident said.

When contacted, the PRO of the Kwara Police Command, Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the incident.

 “Yes, it was a cult-related killing and investigation has commenced on the issue,” Okasanmi added.
