One person died in a multiple accident at Iwaraja Junction in Ilesa, Osun State, on Wednesday evening while eight people sustained injuries.
The accident involved a white Toyota Sienna car with registration number EPE 663 XZ and a white 911 Benz truck with registration number BDJ 561 ZY.

The crash occurred in the evening and men of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ilesa Unit Command, arrived at the scene and rescued the injured victims.
The spokesperson for the FRSC, Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi, confirmed the incident to Daily Trust.
She said the vehicles collided resulting in the death of one person and eight others sustaining serious injuries. She identified speed limit violation and route violation as probable cause of the accident.
She said three men and five women were injured while a man died. She described the incident as unfortunate.
