One person has been reportedly killed with two others kidnapped as gunmen invaded Gidan-Kwano, a host community to the main campus of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State.
The community which is directly opposite the main gate of the university’s main campus is highly populated with students who live off campus.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Niger State, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, in a statement, confirmed that the hoodlums attacked a shop in the community and abducted two children of the shop owner.
“Police and vigilante were immediately drafted to the scene for aggressive manhunt of the hoodlums and during stop and search, one of the suspects was intercepted and arrested at Barkuta village,” he said.
