One person was killed and two others injured after a tipper crashed on Airport Road in the Lugbe suburb of Abuja on Monday.
A witness, Zayyanu Awwal, said the accident happened around 3pm when the driver of the tipper loaded with sand lost control.

He said one of the occupants of the tipper who was seated on top of the sand was trapped in the sand before officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) reshed to the scene.
He further said, “Unfortunately, before help could come the way of the victim, he had already died because he was trapped as the tipper fell on him.”
An official of the FRSC confirmed the accident, saying one person died and two others were injured.
