Unknown armed men on Sunday night ambushed three men of Kum village in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing one of them in the process, while others escaped with injuries.
Though the reason for the attack was not known, it was gathered that the incident occurred along Riyom-Kum road.

The man hacked to death was 36-year-old Bitrus Chollom, aged 36, while those who escaped with injuries were Isaac David and Emmanuel Davou.
Reacting to the incident, the youth leader of Kum village, Tengwong Dalyop, condemned the attack.
A resident of the area said the Divisional Police Headquarters of Riyom had been informed about the incident.
The Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Gabriel Ogaba, confirmed the attack, saying the corpse had been retrieved while an investigation to unravel the cause of the incident had started.
