One person has been confirmed killed and 11 others arrested in the unrest that followed a land dispute at Aye town in Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State.
Properties were destroyed during the unrest and a policeman injured.

Although the details of the true ownership of the land could not be ascertained by Daily Trust, sources said the former governor of the state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola bought it but certain people were still claiming ownership.
The commissioner of police in the state, CP Olawale Olokode, drafted a team of policemen to the town.
The policemen arrested 11 suspects for attempted murder, arson, willful damage and destruction of properties.
The police public relations officer in the state, Yemisi Opalola, yesterday confirmed the incident.
“In the course of arresting the suspects in connection with the case, policemen were attacked and a sergeant was cut with a cutlass in his right arm. But the attacker escaped into the bush,” he said.
