At least one person was reported dead and three others injured after a building under construction collapsed on workers at a site in Kano on Thursday.
Rabiu Musa, 32, who was rescued unconscious, was later confirmed dead by doctors at Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Hospital, while Danjuma Tijjani and other victims were rescued with minor injuries.

A spokesman for the Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident, said the two-storey building collapsed and covered two people instantly.
“Danjuma Tijjani of about 52 years old was successfully rescued alive with a serious injury. Rabiu Musa of about 32 years old was rescued unconscious. The other victims went away with small degree of injury,” he said.
Daily Trust had on Thursday reported that a one-storey building under renovation collapsed along Audu Bako Way in Kano.
