One person has been abducted while two others injured during an attack by armed men on Tuesday night in Ebbo community of Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State.
It was reliably gathered that the kidnappers attacked the community around 10 pm, shooting two villagers.
Reports say the kidnapped victim was identified as Sule Isah who is working as a sales boy for Abu Magaji.
Daily Trust learnt that one of the injured had been discharged from the hospital while the second person was still on admission but responding to medication.
However, sources in the area said the victim, who owns a shop where phones are being sold, was targeted on the community market day especially when all vigilantes had returned home to rest.
According to an eyewitness, the armed men arrived and went straight to the shop and started beating the people with sticks and lashes, urging them to leave or to be killed and scaring the villagers with their sophisticated weapons.
Findings revealed that that particular shop usually witnesses a very high patronage on the market day.
