About 1,224 National Youth Service Corp members Batch B deployed to Borno state have commenced their three week orientation camp in Katsina state.
The Borno deployed Corp members shall be posted to their respective places of primary assignments after the orientation camp necessitated due to insecurity in the state.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, the state governor Kashim Shettima who was represented by the chairman NYSC board in the state, Mahadi Gazali said government is working assiduously to sustain the peace achieved and assured the corp members that in no distant future, orientation shall resume in the state.
According to him, government has taken various steps to address social infra structural inadequacies as result of the ins urgency adding that security situation has greatly improved.
In his remarks, the state coordinator, NYSC, Rabiu Aminu enjoined the corp members to be dilligent and respectful by avoiding negative tendencies such as religious tolerance of any sort in or out of camp noting that ‘ authorities will not hesitate to decamp anyone who violates rules and regulations’
