The Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has on Saturday denied reports of relief materials meant for residents during the Covid-19 lockdown being hoarded in any warehouse in the city.

Dr. Aliyu in a press release by her Special Assistant on Media, Austine Elemue, stated that the administration had in the past few months distributed all items procured and also distributed donated items to the Area Councils and Community Associations.

This comes as reports were flying round via social media that Covid-19 palliatives were stored in a warehouse at the Arts and Culture centre, Area 10, Garki Abuja.

There was also a video showing security personnel stationed in the area to forestall looting as obtained in other cities in the country.

Aliyu, while noting that the warehouses are meant to stock supplies for emergency responses assured residents that items for flood victims are safe and secured and security agents have been deployed to man strategic areas.

She added that all donations received by the administration have been distributed on a continuous basis adding that details of such distributions are in the public domain.

She, however, warned the public not to be lured into criminality under the guise of hoarded palliative food items in the city.
