Plan International is working in collaboration with other stakeholders towards developing a roadmap for adolescent well-being, health, and development in Nigeria.

The country director, of Plan International, Charles Usie Emmamuzou, made the disclosure yesterday during the organization’s adolescent and youth conference in Abuja.

He said the conference builds on the evidence that young people desire to shape their destinies, adding that they “were working on a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and  creation of a concrete roadmap for adolescent well-being, health and development.”

He said, “For too long, the needs and aspirations of adolescents and young people haven’t been fully heard. This conference aims to change that. It is your voice, your dreams that will guide the way.”

He said by investing in their health, education, and social well-being, the government is investing in a brighter and more promising tomorrow.

The Minister of State for Youth Development,  Ayodele Olawande, said it was important to engage adolescents and youth early to ensure their health and well-being.
