Kano Pillars have again tasted yet another defeat as they fell to a 2-1 loss to visiting Shooting Stars of Ibadan (3SC) at the Sani Abacha stadium, Kano.

The matchday 29 fixture saw the home team kicking off the game on a very good note as legendary Rabiu Alli had scored just within two minutes following an assist from Ibrahim Mustapha Yuga.

Buoyed by the early goal, Pillars maintained pressure but were unable to increase their lead as the first half ended 1-0.

At the restart of the game, 3SC put themselves back in it through Taiye Muritala on 48 minutes to make it 1-1.

Following that goal, the visitors took the game to their hosts as they searched for the winning goal.

When it all seemed the game would end in a draw, Christian Pyagbara had better ideas as he scored in the 94th minute to stun the home side who succumbed to their 12th loss of the season.

With this result, Pillars remain 8th with 41 points while Shooting Stars moved up to 6th on 46 points.

Meanwhile, Enugu Rangers lead the table with 51 points but lead second placed Lobi Stars who are on the same points with a superior goal difference.
